I must say i used to be quite shocked when I started p90x2. I liked the initial p90x, however i would not say I loved it. i believed Kenpo was a waste of your time and therefore the yoga was to long. I started p90x2 a couple of weeks back and man was I struggling.
The first section included alot of balancing and dealing on your core. It can get frustrating doing bound moves on drugs balls initially, however once awhile your body starts to handle it higher. Most weight lifters can be turned off by section one in all the program. It extremely doesn’t need alot of dumbbell work and it works on things traditional gym goers don’t typically do. Howvever i am unable to stress enough that it works and burns. modification is nice.
I just started section 2 and it has a lot of things that i am higher at (curls, kicksbacks, etc). you don’t realize how important section one was till your balancing on one leg doing all of your favorite lifting moves. You get such a lot a lot of out of the target space by adding this new Obstacle.
I highly recommend p90x2 to anyone eager to be in high form. i’m now a believer in tony horton.
UPDATE. once being 2 weeks into section 2, i have to say I even have never looked higher. i’m actually shocked the program is working this well. the biggest distinction is that my core is developing that shredded look. i’m honestly shocked that some folks are dropping throughout section 1. i’m getting the look i needed from insanity, however actually keeping my muscle ( and i acumen to eat most likely 6-7 meals each day with numerous veggies and protein). amazing program when given a chance.
